The antenna installation for WDOL-LP is on a tower atop Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, Georgia.

Paper wasps fly around the inactive antennas during the early fall.  This is when they are most active on towers.  Fortunately, this was only a minor inconvenience.  All we had to do was wait until later in the day when they went away.

The inactive antenna at the top of the tower that extends above the top of the tower needs to be removed to make room for a10 foot pole and FM antenna, but we did not have the resources to do this jobso we mounted the antenna approximately 30-40 feet below this point.

The reflected power of this antenna is high (~1.7-1.8) at the station's frequency, and the antenna is out of tune, as it is optimized for just over 1 MHz higher than the station's frequency.  This is causing the station to have a particularly weak signal.
