I added this concrete pad to the back of my house to create a better environment for parties, and so that I can use the back yard without having to walk across dirt.  the next stage of the plan will be adding a roof complete with lights and ceiling fans.  All of these photos were shot on Tuesday, July 27, 2021.  They show before and immediately after the pouring of concrete.  There is also a poured concrete pad for a future shed in the back of the yard.

In preparation for the concrete I enlisted the help of my ISP to move the cable TV internet line from it's original underground position to an aerial installation that connects to the power mast.  You can see the new box in the first photo just above the power meter.  The cable line is now completely out of the way.

During the digging we hit several lines that the "811" guy missed (despite all of their ad campaigns their service leaves a lot to be desired).  It's good to be finished repairing the broken water line that an unused buried gas line broke when it was pulled.  In this process we learned that this house formerly had a liquid propane tank in the back yard.

I can't wait to start using my new back yard.

The back of the house was constantly plagued by holes that the dogs created to sleep in.  Even during this project the dogs tried to dig up the same area.

I'll eliminate most of this furniture in favor of higher quality tables and chairs.
