I took the camera to downtown Athens to view the distant towers so that I could determine the best line of sight (LoS) path from tower to tower. A conversation I had with my tower installer buddy, Chuck, inspired this trip, and the idea of this link was inspired by my buddy David N4TS.
I used a zoom lens at 300mm with a tripod for the distant tower shots, but even under ideal conditions some of these photos show the limitations of the hardware I am using. One day when I have a full frame camera I want to have a lens that's more telephoto than 300mm.
Then when I went to pick up my friend Craig for lunch, he brought my attention to a fawn that was resting in his lawn, so I grabbed the camera out of the vehicle for that.
