A family vacation.  We were there from Friday morning through Sunday afternoon, and it was a lot of fun.  Definitely a good break from the grind.

Resting up at home before we left.  Louise was recovering from hand foot and mouth, so she needed plenty of rest.

What a luxury to be able to watch TV on the boat dock

A chair in the attic.  Carol Ann calls it a "dog bed"

Replacing the conventional light switch in the attic with a smart Z-Wave dimmer.

We are both entertained :)

Ron and I went to eat Indian food at Biryani Pot in Cumming.  Ron had Chicken Dum Biryani and I had Boneless Chicken Biryani.   We shared buttered Naan and a Mango Lassi.  They gave us samples of chai tea, which I thought was fantastic.

Holtzclaw Road and Impala Drive intersecting Pilgrim Mill Road in Cumming, GA.  Continuing on Pilgrim Mill Road dead ends into Tidwell Park.

Carol Ann and Louise pretending to drink water from the coasters.

For every decent photo of my kids, there are many that don't work out.  Louise is crying, and Carol Ann is trolling me.

The Café lights above the back patio that have been there since Carla's and Brian's wedding reception in May 2018.  I added a smart Zigbee plug so that these lights can be controlled from the house.

The networking equipment infrastructure expands again.  The micro form factor PC has a ProxMox host and a Home Assistant VM.

Louise pushing a chair around the living room

Carol Ann modeling what I look like in my old shoes and my crew-style socks.  It's time for some new footwear.

Back home on Sunday evening.
